Mary & Bill Brown are retired, live in Coppell and started Get You In Shape in 2008 and 2009
How did you hear about Get You In Shape and what made you join?
I was walking with a friend regularly. But we walked our dogs every day. And then as I was driving around, I saw one of those little signs with the wires advertising and we decided to do something a little more than just walking the dogs. Following Mary’s lead, Bill joined about a year later.
Why did you join?
I was looking for something other than the gym and I enjoyed all the people and the trainers. It was a good environment.
What have been some of your results?
I’m stronger, I’ve been able to maintain my weight. I just feel better, stronger to do more.
What are your So That’s?
I want to be able to keep up with the grandkids. Also, so I can do strenuous things like hiking.
Share a favorite memory of your time with Get You In Shape.
When Billy was training, he always kind of made things fun.
What is your favorite exercise or equipment?
I like the ladders and boxing.
What is your least favorite exercise?
Burpees and the Buddy System.
Do your prefer summer or winter?
Definitely Summer
What is your favorite class time?
I like the 8:00am.
Who was the toughest “meanest” trainer (past or present)
Lotta was pretty tough, and so was Julie Smith who was way back at the beginning.
Why do you choose to continue to be a part of Get You In Shape after all this time?
I have taken some time off at different times. I always comeback because of the environment, the trainers and the people. It just makes it more fun to workout in this environment.
