What: Spartan Stadion @ ATT Stadium – 5k distance, 20 Obstacles (NO MUD!! Climate Controlled!)

How do I join the group?: Reach out let me know your interested and I will send out additional information. You can respond on Facebook, let me know at class or email Jennifer @ jenpdickey @gmail .com
How do I train? : A lot of what you do in the classes at GYIS will go a long way of getting you ready. I do plan to offer a few days of specific Obstacle course training and will provide additional suggestions along the way.
What if I can’t do an obstacle? No problem, this is your own personal challenge. Team members can assist with some (like getting over a wall) or you don’t have to do it at all. Some obstacles will have a suggested penalty, but since we are running open this is not required. You can choose to do the penalty, make up your own or just skip the obstacle altogether.
What kind of obstacles can you expect?
Spartan will post the actual list of Obstacles a few days before the event but here is a list of what I encountered last year:
Jump ropes, Step ups, sandbag carry, Farmers carry, spear throw, rope climb, herc hoist (pully system with a heavy object that you pull rope to get it to the top), and a couple of hanging obstacles.

Cowboys fans, this is AT&T Stadium like you’ve never seen. Explore Jerry World like never before as you dash through every part of this legendary stadium. Racers will traverse throughout concourses, plenty of stairs and chairs. The sound system will be pumping while live footage is broadcast on the field’s massive screen, so get ready for your moment in the spotlight!
The indoor climate controlled stadium is a great way to escape the Dallas heat, and earning bragging rights at the same time.
