What was your life like before Get You In Shape?

I was not very active and was feeling lethargic.

Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?

When I lived in Coppell, I ‘d see the group at the park and had heard of the program but never really thought it was for me because of my work schedule. Due to COVID, I was working from home and just didn’t have the movement I had before and felt that I needed to get out. I saw an ad for women over 50 and thought it might be a good fit for me, so I decided to reach out. After speaking with Brad about the program, I felt it would be a great fit for me.

What was your first impression of GYIS?

Love it. I had originally committed to 6 months and have now been there close to one year. This is not a group of body builders, nor is that the program’s intent. Instead, this is a group of caring people, the trainers give you the tools to make you successful. The exercises we do are meant to push you to be better, but the only way to be better is to push yourself. Accountability is what the program is based on.

What are some of the tools you have used that have benefitted you?

I’m more conscious of my eating habits and the overall activity program. I feel that I can move better and have more energy.

How is Get You In Shape different from other programs you have tried before?

It’s all about the interaction with others. The trainers are great and support you. If you are unable to do one of the exercises, there is always and alternate method, just keep moving.

What results and benefits have you experienced with Get You In Shape?

Ideally, I want to lose weight, but my focus is really centered more around getting toned and having more flexibility. I have been in the program close to a year and feel so much better. It has honestly been one of the best outlets for me.

 

What would you say to anyone looking at this program?

You need to be committed because it’s not for the faint of heart, trust me they try to get your heart rate up, but if you really want to feel better, this is the program for you. Many of the people that I have met have been there over 10 years, which says a lot about the Linder program.
